Hey Pat, at some point or another I've hunted just about everything. I started with squirrels, rabbits, dove and quail then moved up to deer and turkey. When I moved out west I started elk hunting and I also did some predator calling. I once called in a mountain lion. It was the most awesome experience I've had in nature.

That's fantastic Matt! Did you take the mountain lion or just observe it? When I am older I hope to visit the US, but for now Im stuck here in Australia  .

When I saw the mountain lion, I was coyote calling. It came into a bird sound tape that I was playing. I tried to take it, but it spooked and started to run and the ammunition I was using wasn't very good for taking larger animals (it was varmint load). I shot and hit it, but it didn't go down. I had a friend with lion dogs that I had come out and we tried to track it down. We tracked it for 2 miles or so (3km) but weren't able to track it down. I was pretty disappointed. I originally got into predator calling just to try to call in a lion and I did it, but I couldn't take it. If I were to do it again, I would just use my really nice camera and try to shoot it with that.
