I've grown in pure peat, perlite and pool filter sand. I can't seem to find my brand anymore but is this safe for CP's? http://www.idealtruevalue.com/servlet/the-38774/Detail
I'm planning on painting the sand so I know which clone is Red, Big Trapped etc.

The sand looks fine.
About painting the sand, I think that that would surely harm the plant!? Can't you just put a piece of tape on the side of the pot and write the plant's name, or use a plant tag that you stick in the soil??

i'm looking for a more efficent way. im not labeling my plants anymore. just by red, all green etc. so a red piranha might be with a seed grown red clone. i'm pretty sure it wont harm the plant as things arent coated, they are absorbed.
