I have a few new triops eggs as well as the batch from my last five, so I am looking to possible raising some again. If I do I'll look to getting photos - I'm looking forward to seeing how you guys do, too! Good luck!

There are several different species... you should look into which one best fits your room temp water. I went for the one that looks awesome, but now I realize I need to keep my tank colder than my room.

Banana, see what you have started?
Btw... I have 7 specks swimming around in my little tub. Exciting.

I miss my triops. I grew them for about two months last year. 14 triops hathed and they were so cute! :D Ive got pics of them but they were on my dad iphone so quality is not so great. I loved seeing them doing the loop the loop while eating their food. I would often put in chunks of freeze-dried tubifex and blood worms and I loved seeing them rip small bits of it from the floating chunk. I think the biggest ones grew to about 5cm (2inches).
My brother misses them too but my parents don`t. :?

They were "triops longicaudatus"

Are these very common or what since i found these in a water hole and there was like a billion in there i thought they were some deformed tadpoles.

They are quite rare and hard to find.
But there can be billions in some places where they grow.

Eg. So there can be billions of ponds/lakes in America but only around 1/8 of the ponds have triops living in them. but in ponds/lakes which they inhabit, there are billions there.
