Our indoor humidity ranges between 30-40 percent, and I heard nepenthes need at least 50 percent to pitcher. Do you guys have any tips for raising the humidity? Someone on the forum mentioned putting the plants on a tray with gravel and water, but I’m wondering how much it would raise the humidity and what gravel is safe to use.

They don’t necessarily need high humidity to pitcher as long as you acclimate them properly. My Neps would vigorously pitcher indoors in low humidity once acclimated over the course of about a week with a ziploc bag.

How low is your humidity? I’m acclimating my plants with ziplock bags too. It’s been about a week and the bag is now almost fully open. (I hope that wasn’t too fast.)

Will nepenthes leaves rot if they get too wet? Do you lightly mist them or make sure the leaves are all wet?

What type of species/hybrid is it?

spectabilis x ventricosa BE-3745
veitchii x ventricosa BE-4500

Oh, pfff you’ll be fine! Those should have some really thick leafs and really hardy. A week sounds good for these hybrids. You had me thinking they were some kind of ultra lowland or something.

Mine is about 30-40, same as yours. As @Panman said, misting a few times a day with light spritzes helps, although my Neps got spritzed every other day and did fine on a windowsill.

I use river rock pebbles, and rinse them with distilled water. I'd say that it raises it enough to pitcher and to be worth it.

I mist my young, forming pitchers. It took a couple months to acclimate on my windowsill but it’s now pitchering like crazy.

@optique, I could’ve done that, but we already have a few ultrasonic humidifiers. It also seems like a little to much for two plants, but I will consider it if I get more plants.
