I cut off my vft flower scapes and tossed them in a vase. I forgot all about it until yesterday. While I was cleaning up the grow room I found a little surprise :D. And these have been completely submerged for months. Time to transplant.

Neat experiment!
Distilled water, I assume?
What was the water level, in inches, and did you keep it constant?
Did you change the water, and if so, how often?
How tall did you let the flower scape get before cutting?
Did you cut off the tip of the flower stalk?
I have to try that this Spring.
Thanks for a great inspirational idea!

R/0 water about an inch or so in a glass beaker. I did change the water every few weeks. Or added. I cut off the entire stalks as close to the mother plants . They weren't in direct light to avoid algae growth. I was very pleased with the results 😀 The above photo is rhe largest one. But I was able to get several. And yes I would definitely do this experiment again. Way faster than seeds to get bigger clones
