Okay, I received The Savage Garden today from Amazon. It was 16.49$ with free shipping with Amazon Prime. I haven't read it much but it looks great! I got a real good deal too :D!

Thanks Oblivion. I sill want to see how The Savage Garden does before I even consider spending 50 dollars on a 200 page book. No harm meant by that, but it is way overpriced. :( It does look pretty goood though. I'll tell you guys when I crack open TSG

I find that Barry's book is an awesome book for photos (probably worth the money just for the photos), but I think that most of the information in it has already been covered more thoroughly in Peter's book. Though the book I own by Barry is called "Growing Carnivorous Plants":

and it's much less than $50.

Wow, Matt that is way less! :D I would rather read the info than see pics, but I get what you guys are at.

http://www.bookdepository.com/search?se ... rch=search Here is all books by him, there is 2 there. Does anybody know of a difference, the covers are different but is there a difference in the book?

And if you didn't look they both have 224 pages. :o

Barry Rice's book has 3 different publishers, 3 different cover photos, and two different titles! :)

In the United States and UK, the book's cover features a Cephalotus and the title is "Growing Carnivorous Plants." In Australia and South Africa, the book has two different publishers, two different cover photos (one of Darlingtonia and the other of some Venus Flytraps), and the book has a different title: "The Complete Grower's Guide to Carnivorous Plants."

Several different publishers and cover photos, two different titles, but otherwise exactly the same book. :)

BArry Rice's book is more for nice pictures and techniques and scientific history. Peter's book is more for informative things and conditions.
