When doing leaf cuttings, etc. using test tubes, is it best to stand the test tubes up, lay them down or does it matter?

I've tried it both ways, not much difference.

OK, Thanks. I really did not think it would make a difference but when in doubt I like to ask.

Hmmm, ok, I'm the over-thinker..."OCD-Me". Now if the cuttings are vertical it seems the strikes would start growing parallel to the leaf whereas if the cutting is laying prone then the strike would start growing perpendicular to the leaf. Whether growing vertically or horizontally to the leaf is the better orientation for the strikes or whether they will be left in the tube to grow enough to matter is unknown to me...but, alas...OCD-Me strikes again!!!!
