Hi All,

I'm super new to growing nepenthes. I started with this N. small (glandulifera x veitchii) x veitchii candy dreams from Red Leaf Exotics and slowly added a few more. This particular plant pushed out a giant leaf jump a few months ago and has not stopped getting larger. I'm wondering if it's time for a repot.

I also included pictures of my other plants. Please, let me know what you think!

First, how old is the substrate? If you do repot, and the substrate is relatively new, then maybe you could “slip” repot them, where you get a larger pot, put new substrate in the bottom, put the nepenthes in the old pot in it and keep adjusting the substrate until the top of the old pot is at the level of the top of the new pot. Then fill in around the sides of the old pot. Then lift the old pot out and take the nepenthes out, being careful not to disturb the roots, and place it in the hole that was created when the smaller pot was inside the new pot. Fill in as needed. Hope that makes sense.

That totally makes sense!

I one of those got the plant potted from red leaf exotics, so I'm not sure how old it is. I might slip repot it anyways as you suggested.

One of the other plants is from Predatory Plants, and I'm pretty sure its potted into mostly if not all sphagnum moss. The moss is super yucky, but the plant is doing well. Could I slip repot this plant into perlite/orchid barck/ sphanum too?

Thanks!
