A few months ago, some people were traveling. But they knew they had to water their plants. I've told a few people about putting one end of a piece string in a bowl of water and the other end on top of the the soil where your plant is. Well here's another way, if you are traveling or just lazy... But I hope you wouldn't be as lazy as that!

Recycle your bottles! I don't know how the water can reach the soil, but I guess maybe it can. I've never tried it myself, so I'm not sure. And if you happen to use this trick, remember to try it out and see if it overwaters. If so, pick a thinner piece of cotton string.
