Hi all,
Does anyone here have experience germinating nepenthes seeds under aseptic conditions? I sowed these seed on Nov 16 and they’re now sprouting. However, after sprouting they turn black. I’m unsure if this is their radicle or if the seedling is dying.
I am growing under typical conditions for N. edwardsiana. 23c days and 18c nights (a little warmer to help germination).
The only thing I can think of that might be killing the plants is nutrient burn (which is unlikely, if that was the case they wouldn’t have sprouted) or lack of sufficient lighting (which might mean the plant lacks the strength to remove itself from the seed coat).
Am i just being impatient?
