In an attempt to get my scorpioides to produce gemmae, I reduced the grow light to 8h per day and temps to 50F. The soil is moist but not soggy. After more than 4 weeks there is still no sign of gemmae production. Am I doing something wrong?

Probably just not waiting enough, or doing too much. I don't do anything different than during the summer, and mine produce them when they're ready, which is now.

You shouldn't need to do anything. Mine produced a ton of gemmae in November. Some years they do it in December or January.
