After being delayed for 5 days, my Bargain in a Box #2 order finally came today! Sent was two"Red Piranha"d, along with his soil mix.
The plants look great, Thank you so much!

Hi Max-- Just trim off the traps that have black spots on them (and bugs inside) if you want, or wait until they turn completely black and then cut them off. Healthy Flytraps usually don't turn black when they catch a bug and digest it, but when they already have an insect in them when they are shipped, and the shipping takes longer than expected, and they are cooped up in 100% humidity with no air movement (inside the bag during shipment), that encourages that type of decay. But the young growth looks great, so no worries.

Steve, the Red Piranhas you sent me don't appear to be growing any new leafs at the center of the plant, should i be worried?

No, don't be worried. Unless the center of the plant looks dark (very brown or black) they are very probably fine. Sometimes Flytraps temporarily stop growing immediately after transplanting, until they adjust to the new conditions. If you can post a photo just of the center of the growing rosettes, it may be more clear what you are worried about. But I would say they are probably fine. How are you watering them and in what conditions do you have them? Sun? Etc.--

I ended up shocking my typical VFTs and it's taking 2 months for the largest of these to recover ... so it can take a while. It depends on how much damage the roots sustained and how different your conditions are from the ones Steve had.
