after a few days of eating an ant, my trap is starting to look weird.
i don't want the same to happen as grant's trap ripping.

I am not sure exactly what is weird about your trap. It is normal for the trap to fold back like in the picture. That is the trap making an airtight seal so it can secrete its digestive juices.

However, sometimes ants can chew their way out of the trap so watch out for that.

By this point the ant is dead due to suffocation. Looks like a nice healthy meal, nothing to worry about.

To be sure that it has catched a prey, you can always keep the trap against the light.
If you see a dark spot inside the trap, that's usually food ;)

But indeed, nothing to worry about according to this picture.
