i sown about 200 basil seeds today, was going to transplant them into a couple of my vft pots when they get big enough then keep the rest in there own pots till it gets warm enough to put them in the yard. good idea? i just want to make everything look more lush

I'd say bad idea.

Basil probably won't do very well in peat compared to compost soil.

Worse, it could eventually overgrow and smother your flytraps. In compost they get pretty large; I've never grown basil in peat.
