"Bright shade" is what people typically say. A not-very-bright window, or set back or to the side of a bright one, should suffice. If the leaves are very dark green, it needs more light.

What fishkeeper said.
I keep mine near a west facing window which has a porch roof extending about 5’ past the window. Plants get bright shady light during the day and sun for about an hour. They are doing well.

The "standard" reply was always east or west window but that covers a lot of ground. Wherever you place them, watch the leaves. As fishkeeper said, if they start getting darker, you need more light. And the reverse, if the leaves start to pale, reduce the light.
