Hi, I recently got a Low Giant venus flytrap variety. I don't think it's a cultivar. The problem is that it has really long, skinny leaves. I thought it was supposed to have really short, wide leaves that grow near the ground. Am I wrong, or it isn't the real Low Giant and I got scammed?

I had to repot them, they were all packed in one small pot. (The one Individual flytrap is the one I Like the most)

If the seller isn’t reputable, it could be a fake. People often add ‘B52’, ‘Low Giant’, etc. to up the value. I would wait for sometime, until there is new growth, and see if the new growth is within the description of Low Giant.

It also could be a honest mistake. I recommend emailing the seller with a photo asking them if they could have sent your the wrong plant.

Whatever that is, the soil is way too dry. Did you mix it with water before using it?

I looked at his site, and a few of his plants don't look right. I'm wondering if he's knowingly selling mis-labeled plants, or if they were sold to him as such?

When I put my finger in the soil, it was wet. (I didn't mix water with soil)

I also bought a b52 from him. Do they look right on the photos? (that offer is unavailable now)

There's some about them that looks right, but they're small, so they look like many other cultivars and typicals. That's not to say they're not B52, but looking at this guy's site, I'd question their legitimacy.

I'm going to double down on many of the cultivars sold by Ernesto21 are not legit. He's either calling them what they somewhat resemble, or he was sold illegitimately named plants and is passing it on.
