Took a hike with the family and some friends in a park in Alachua County, FL, Longleaf Flatwoods Preserve. Found some S. minor, and I think D. brevifolia and D. capillaris. Neat park that is burned and maintained in a natural condition. There are also several species of Pinguicula (based on a friend's report), but only I was ready to hike a lot more to find them. I'll post an update once I return and look more.

Very nice. It is always exciting to find them in the wilds.

I was wondering the same thing and forgot to check (kids running around). It was only 3/4" across.

Great find. It really frustrates me that I did not get in to CP's until 40+ years after being stationed pretty much right on top of these sites. I was in GA, floated the stream at Okefenokee State Swamp Park. What a young fool I was. Hopefully I can return some day.
