This is my first winter with pitchers so I'm still learning a lot. Overall I think most of my plants are looking pretty good, but I have a purpurea I split a couple months ago and a lot of the pitchers are turning brown. Based on a post below, maybe more than a normal amount. Growth point is still green. Does this look okay?

Also I have a half dozen plants that are putting out flower buds, should I remove those? They haven't started throwing pitchers yet. Pics attached.

The leaves died back, so I recommend you check the rhizome to make sure it’s firm to the touch.

And for the flower buds, you can keep them if you want seeds.

Thank you, didn't know if it would be too much stress for the plants before they have pitchers.

Some pitchers like flavas and oreophilas will put up flower stalks before they produce pitchers.

So I pulled it up and there were no obvious soft spots. Anything else I should do? Growth points are green and look okay.

The S. Purpurea is healthy. It’s just a late season plant.
