Hey y’all, I kinda procrastinated on repotting my vft because it was their first year in dormancy and I wanted them to recover before I repotted them. But now one of my fly traps is flowering. I’m actually kinda shocked it’s flowering because it’s only two years old and I heard it takes more like three to four years to flower. But anyways, should I still repot it or should I wait? I’m planning to cut off the flower either way but I’m wondering if it will affect it even after I cut it off.

@Pickles, In fact, there is no specific age for flowering. The condition and health of the rhizome is important. If it grows under proper care conditions, it can bloom even at the age of 1 year. As for the pot change, my opinion; cut the flower stalk and wait a few days. Average 1 week. Then you can pass it to the new pot. Because some plants do not like the cutting of the flower stalk at all and go through a stress process. That's why I think waiting 1 week is the best option.
