Hi all. Relatively new VFT collector here.. I’ve been noticing that my baby Dracula VFT starts to grow its traps but a few of them immediately turn black at the tips. Is this a normal occurrence or something to worry about? The rhizome was nice and healthy when I repotted it a month or so ago.. 🤔

A bigger picture of the entire plant may help. From the pic of just the area in question, I see what may be an issue, but I'll reserve my opinion until I see more.

Is the soil in that pot damp or soggy-wet all the time? I've seen new traps turn black before they open because the soil was constantly wet.

^^^^ Yes, it does look wet. They also look maybe a little too deeply planted. Easily rectified by scraping media away until you just see white.
Last, you say "relatively new vft owner" and "recently repotted". Assuming you just got it fairly soon before repotting a month ago, it is also stressed from changing conditions and being manhandled.
Maybe not keep it as wet, remove some of the media, and give it time.

Yeah the soil has been a bit wet. We’ve had the wettest spring in years here in the UK. Its done nothing but rain for weeks.. Cheers for the advice. I’ll try what you suggest and see if she gets better 👍
