https://youtu.be/amI5Kk6vUus In this video by sarracenia northwest, at 1:18, the guy in the video says that red dragons dont do well in az. Does anyone in az or in the southwest have experience with red dragons, and do they do ok?

Mine died, but that's just because I'm trash with anything and everything temperate. It probably would've lived if I remembered to water it.

But mine was also just a redder typical, probably one of those bug biting plants bulk red dragons but since we can't be sure, well, my experience isn't the best to go on.

I live in central AZ. I can't speak to specific cultivars but the dry spring weather and strong sun in the summer can take a toll on outdoor VFTs. By the time the monsoons start, the sun is really strong in the afternoon and can scorch some plants. Put them out in the morning until they get used to it and pay close attention to watering.
