Looking on the website, after finding in through Google, reveals that it is a young couple's nursery and the website has been in business for less than a year.

In the "About Us" section is this statement: "All our plants are grown in greenhouses by specialist carnivorous plant growers, who have been working with carnivorous plants for decades." This tell me that they are a "middle man" operation and purchase their plants from actual growers. "Nalin" states that one of the couple works on the floor putting together customer orders while the other one works on the website...there's no mention of growing/caring for plants. The company doesn't impress me...most anybody can put up a website these days, "Nalin" even expressed how "clever" the boyfriend was in putting up the webshop. I think I would look for a company with a proven track record, one that has a few years of actually growing and shipping plants. This company may be a great one, but personally I'd feel better buying from a more established grower/seller.

Have you ordered from czplants Camden? They have some things I want. When I contacted them about why their shipping was so cheap (and if they had a specific plant available), I was sent an invoice about an order and they sent me a PayPal money request. I never placed an order. Just filled out my information to see shipping costs. It seems kinda sketchy. The invoice was for over $80 and there wasn't even $80 worth of plants in my cart.

Nah, just heard about it. Haven’t really found anything worth the import cost except a few neps in tc and some helis. Thanks for the warning. I haven’t heard anything bad about them until now tbh.

Yeah, it said shipping for me is $7-20 depending on the amount of plants even though I'm in the US. That's why I asked them about their shipping.

I doubt I'll ever order anything from out of the country, but it seems like the import fees and hoops to jump through and the agricultural regulations associated with bringing in live plants would be somewhat intimidating for a common guy..even without the shipping charges figured in. How bad would it be for ordering a couple of plants from Europe? Is it not as bad as I'm imagining it to be? Just curious. :?:

I've not tried it before and that's why I'm not risking it yet. With shipping delays and everything, the plants could be in the mail for months and die. Then the plants themselves and possible import costs combined would make for a very expensive problem.

I just saw a post that I made. It was the one that I asked if a kind of soil is good for CPs and eventually it has fertilisers. It is from the same nursery. Now I don’t trust them.
