I have several young capes that I grew from seed this summer. This one is about a half inch across and germinated about 3 months ago. The other day I noticed a new "leaf" sprouting up. Do capes flower at the seedling stage, or do I have an interloper?

That's just a new leaf growing, not a flower. I don't think it's possible for it to flower at such a small size.

Thanks. A couple of the other babies are doing the same. The new leaves look a bit different than the earlier ones, the first ones didn't point straight up. Finally, some new growth!

The leaf isn't fully opened yet so that's why it's pointing up.
