Ok, I'm out of my wheelhouse here. I don't normally grow binata because it gets too large for my lights. For no good reason, I've tried two that are supposed to be small-ish. The "Small Red Form" from our seed bank seems to be growing fine, if slowly. The small-growing New Zealand form from the ICPS seed bank looks weird - it's two tone. The upper parts of the leaves start out almost white. Some become light green and produce mucus but some just stay white and look poorly. Anybody know what's going on?

At first, I would think mineral burn. But I know you well enough to know that's unlikely. Perhaps it's just how the genes came together and are being expressed in this batch.

Hmmm, I find that quite interesting. I wonder if plants grown from cuttings would still exhibit that habit or if altering the growing conditions would change things. Rather novel little bugger you have there.
