I make a habit of removing all dead or dying leaves from my plants. Usually they are the ones with dry tentacles, and are browning slightly from the tips. If you stick them in some media, peat/sand, they will bud. I think I have enough propagations do to some giveaways.

That's a good idea. I usually just cut off the half dead part but leave the greens parts so the plant can still photosynthesize from that remaining leaf part. The next time my sundews leaves start dying, I'll stick them in media.
