Hi guys had this as a fathers day gift it obviously is dyed blue but the true colour is a pinkish white with slight veining on the petals. It's unlike any of my others as the plant is far larger with 4.5 inch diameter flowers, huge roots and twice the thickness flower stem compared to my others also not many flowers either maybe due to their size. Nearest thing I've seen was listed as a Japanese phaeleonopsis. Any ideas from the more experienced of you on species/varieties I assume it's a hybrid. :) .thanks

Looks like the typical large hybrid that's mass produced for the worldwide market. I don't think you'll ever know the component species.

Yeah I guessed it wasn't anything special being dyed and from the supermarket just never seen one so robust and large. Is this a typical size for a large phal all mine must be of a smaller variety. As in our previous chat I didn't expect the plant and have no idea where I'm going to put it lol. Thanks for your reply.
