I'm looking at buying and growing my first butterwort, P. moranensis. Perlite is proving to be ridiculously hard to come by though unless I buy it online. Would the soil sold from the FTS for flytraps be ok? I'm not sure what else it has in it besides perlite and peat.

That soil will be absolutely fine. If you find yourself able to get some form of perlite or silica sand in future you can always mix it in, that'd be even better - but for now the venus fly trap mix is good, just make sure you don't overwater.

Good luck!

I have outstanding results growing my moranensis in pure silica sand. They tend to do better in non-acidic media. Like has already been stated, allow the surface to dry considerably and don't overwater.
