I use a 125 watt cfl, 6500k @ 5000 lumens, and it works really well on all my nephs and dionea

What type of fixture do you have it in?

I have been looking for a desk lamp style fixture but the warning labels restrict the bulb to 15w only. And that seems very low.

well if you the have money buy leds :)

But if your looking for the right spec 6500k watts and lumens are normally tied to the price the more watt and lumen output the bigger the price

I use Growth Technology lights 200watt 6500k 16,000 lumens they are about 8"-10" away from my plants mostly VFT's underneath atm and they growing well

That is very low wattage, Id recommend that if you want to stick with a cfl go to a local reptile store and pick up a hood lamp that u can use up to 175 watts. Thats what I did, but I recently changed to a 2foot 4 bulb t5 6500k. I pump out about 8000 lumens.

Unfortunately, I can't have anything like that in my office. That's why I was looking for a lamp that resembles a desk lamp to it would blend in better.

I don't think my boss will like my bringing in a reptile light into the office. :)

I like sylvania bulbs for standard sockets. you can find 3000K and 6500K bulbs for 15 and 23 watts at Lowes. The 23 watt 6500K bulbs pump out 1450 Lumens.

It might work, but its gonna be very slim. You really need a more intense light but if you notice longer leafs and more pale leafs then you know its not enough light
