Seed grown I made, Pochi Plants and I are evaluating it and so far it has been a great grower. He started it in TC for me a while back.

Actually, I would say so. That is an awesome looking plant, you might face a lot of similar cultivars though lol. That thing is incredible though, congratiulations!!

Reminds me a bit like FTS Archangel, hopefully this will have some summer traps soon!

Here’s what Pochi Plants clone looks like, if it stays stout with huge traps I think it will be a perfect giant in my books! We’re just hoping the trap size is consistent. If I can reach 2 inches consistently on more than one trap at a time we might label it. I don’t want another giant that just occasionally maybe a 2 inch traps every few years lol.

I thought you said that the arching was caused by the fertilizer you are using.

Never said it wasn’t! Take a look at pochis plant in the thread, the arching isn’t as pronounced.

Pochi during his fertilizing tests claimed eventually the arch’s will go away and traps will begin to look normal, which is what I’m seeing in the most recent trap that can also be seen in my recent photos. The long term effects of fertilizer are still unknown but we will find out soon enough!

I will only register it or call it something once I see its full potential and deem it worthy. It must maintain consistent trap size over 1.5 at the very least.

Then I'm confused as to what about this flytrap is unique enough to be a new cultivar. If the arching was stable, it makes sense. But if the arching is only due to fertilization then that isn't genetic but rather environmental.

For its stout leaves and proportionately large traps with wavy curly cilia, and hopefully, large traps consistently over 1.5 inches. Anyway, that’s the point of this thread, to see if anyone else thinks it should or should not be a cultivar.
