Hello everyone. I have the green light to install a bog in Columbus county park, MI. It is the largest outdoor park in my county. I will be responsible for maintaining it. I would prefer larger and more mature sarrecenia. Make sure they are dormant and bare root so I can stick them in the refrigerator.

Species preferred
-Sarrecenia purpurea purpurea
-Sarrecenia flava varieties
-Sarrecenia oreophila
-Sarrecenia rubra
-Sarrecenia Minor
-Drosera Filiformis (new Jersey)
-Darlingtonia Californica
-Cold temperate bog plants

I would prefer no S. Leucophylla or S. Alata or warm temperate plants as they wouldn't do well outside in the winter even with protection. They have nowhere indoors to store them for the winter.

Will provide updates as to how the bog is doing once established.

Once you get it going, post up some pics. I may have some that I would possibly be willing to donate but I would need proof as to where they are going and I would want to see them in the bog.

I'm going to cover them and mulch in the winter time.

Wow, small world. Your park is really close to where I grew up. I may have some Drosera Filiformis (new Jersey), if the plantlets from leaf clippings make it through the winter I will send you some.
