I find an aphid on my Capensis, does ortho work for sundews since they're pretty sensitive to chemicals? I mean, I only found one, and I looked closely at all of my plants in and around the plant I found it on. *Shrug*

I've never tried Orthonex on Drosera. Your capensis could be our guinea pig

You just need to encourage that aphid to get a little bit higher...then it will make a meal! That said, Capensis are supposed to be pretty hard to kill, so like Matt said, maybe you can try to find out...

Jack and Jeanie from Hawaiian Botanicals told me that it's enough to just apply the insecticide on the center of the plant. That's where the aphids to the damage.

The problem with aphids is that they are like any other pest. If you see one mouse in the house, there's probably 50 more

So squishing the guy is not a guarantee that you've got them all. I tried this manual way of ridding the plant of aphids and it's a battle that cannot be won

So far drowning has worked but only after a couple of tries.

The nice thing about aphids is that it's easy to notice an infestation. Some other pests like mites are harder to spot and could have already damaged the plant significantly before the infestation was controlled.

so far so good, I haven't seen anymore on either capensis or any other terrarium plant. Crossing my fingers that he was just an intruder Haven't seen any wierd looking growth on any other plants either.

An you should get Black Wasps (Parasitic)

They can come back in a couple of weeks. Inspect your plants regularly.
