For some reason my S.purpurea produces a lot of nectar around the crown and there might be mold on some spots. A black type and a white one. If it is mold will it hurt my plant or it just feeds on the nectar? Should I remove the nectar and how?

I don’t see any molds. If you think it’s mold grab a qtip and some 3% H2O2 and dab the spots if it sticks to the wet qtip it’s likely a mold.

I put a wet q tip and it leaves a black imprint so it is probably mold. But it doesn’t seem to do damage and only feeds on the nectar. The white one is hard to wipe because it is inside in a crown slit so I don’t know if it mild yet. Should I remove the nectar and how?
