I recently (earlier today) bought two VFTs, I live in England, so the weather is pretty cold.. Should I keep them outside or inside?? I know spring is coming, but we do have some pretty unpredictable cold days... thanks (:

hello Hattstoothyones,
I would grow them outside, but check the weather and if there are going to be long frosts take the plants inside, because they can't tolerate to much frost.
They do fare well to short frost, but watch out for the long frosts.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Your weather in most of England is mild enough that you can grow your plants outside year round. If you have a greenhouse or anything that provide a bit of shelter, then you definitely can. Even without shelter, I think the weather in most of England stays above 0°C, right? If so, just put your plant in the sunniest location you can and it will thrive.

Hi Hattstoothyones, If you've just got the plants from a garden centre or DIY store I would keep them indoors somewhere bright and at room temperature until the end of the month or until there are no risks of frost then slowly move them outside.

The plant will be fine once acclimatized to outside all year. I’ve grown some of my VFT outdoors without losing one yet.

Good luck and happy growing

Carl
