Something around 200 or 300 dollars should be good. It depends on the different settings you need and want.

yes, I do that, but my digital camera will never be good enough to take a perfectly clear shot like the good ones do.

I'm not sure if that is the camera name or if it is just saying it can zoom in far or something... It also says C613, I think that is the camera name. lol, not EX optical zoom. :P
I have a Kodak easy share as well, but mine is a C533, works well for close ups in my opinion.

yes, it does do well with close-ups, but it still will never get the clearest picture! Does anyone know what I mean???

hey my girlfriend just got me an olympus stylus 1010 for like 200 bucks and it works really great. Has two macro settings for close up and really close up pictures. Lots of setting ajustments and what not. I like it a lot. Here is a picture of some seedlings that i have, this is about a month after germination. They are pretty small.

What you should look for is a camera that has full manual control so that you can control the aperture. The smaller the aperture the greater the depth of field (more of your subject in focus) I have owned Olympus and Canon cameras both are good right now I only buy Canon because there is a FREE replacement firmware called StereoData Maker that greatly extends the ability of the camera.
http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/sdm/index.htm
Some of the features of SDM are:
Remote trigger through the USB port
Focus stacks
HDR stacks
Aids for single camera 3D photography
Zebra and histogram
No camera will get everything in focus if you want everything in focus you will need to do focus stacks which means taking pictures at different focus depths then putting them together using a program such as Combinezm

The Best thing you can buy is a tripod for your camera
