Hi Everyone,

Besides lowland nepenthes and cephalotus (in the summer), can you please inform me of other compatible carnivorous species that could live in a terrarium of 25-30 degrees Celsius and 80-100% humidity?

Petiolaris sundews are great for those temps! Just respect their dry season dormany if possible and do a lot of research on them. They can be pretty difficult. Other species of Nepenthes are great too. Just make sure that the Nepenthes is a lowland form and not highland. Some great lowland neps are N. ampullaria, N. rafflesiana, and N. albomarginata.

Where is a good recommended place to get a petiolaris sundew if you're in BC, Canada? I had seen a Chinese business selling them but I would prefer shorter shipping times if possible.

Check out Urantia Carnivores (http://www.urantiacarnivores.com). He's a Petiolaris Complex specialist and they ship internationally.

Wow, very cool! And I tested the shipping prices. They seem reasonable. Many items are out of stock though. Is there an optimal time to find plants there?

Another thing to think about while you are selecting species for hot and humid conditions - what lighting will your plants have?

Hot/humid species are not all the same in their lighting preferences. For example, bright light for most petiolaris complex, part shade for D adelae and Neps usually.

I grow adelae under med-high light - I gave one to my GF that is happy in the bright windowsill with drosera and neps. They just get thinner leaves :D

Assuming decent air flow, just about anything warm temperate and most intermediate Neps.

Do you know how long it takes for Urantia to ship? I ordered over a week ago and even sent them a message but haven't heard back.
