Two traps are better than one! A double-hungry Justina Davis looking for a double-delicious tasty treat! :D

To answer the questions-- Yes, it's my plant. This trap opened just a couple days ago and hasn't closed yet, but others in the past that have formed double traps like this do close when triggered. You'll notice that there's an extra 2 or so trigger hairs in the doubled part of the trap. I'll try to take a photo when it closes to add to this discussion thread. :) In the meantime, here's another Justina Davis anomaly:

Hey Steve,

Would you say that on average, you saw more deviant traps on Justina Davis than on any other cultivar?

Another round of beautiful photos and plants. P.S...Thanks for the Pink Venus, it seems to be enjoying its new home.

I've seen anomalies on many Flytrap clones. I just happened to notice two on the Justina Davis this year, whereas last year I cannot remember any on the Justina Davis, but do remember several on other clones. So I'm not sure if some clones are more prone to these types of anomalies than others. :)

(And thanks, Jason, for the compliments. :) I'm glad the Pink Venus is enjoying its new home. I'm sure it will grow great under your experienced care. Pink Venus is overlooked too often in my opinion. I think it's a beautiful Flytrap.)
