A few days ago I deflasked some flytraps from CCCP. I put the container in the sink, washed the agar off with low PPM water (50), potted the plants and sprayed them with neem oil.

The pots have been sitting in high humidity under lights, but the plants seem to be declining in health. They are becoming extremely wilted and the leaves are dying and growing fungi even after sprays of 3% hydrogen peroxide and a very low ratio of neem oil to water (about 1:100), even though I followed the instructions for deflasking as carefully as I could. Any tips and/or advice? Thank you

The only time I deflasked TC VFT's I knew if I bagged them there would be a strong possibility of mold. So I planted them in a shallow pot and put them outside in the shade, then I kept them pretty moist, almost wet, so that they had a much higher localized humidity. I still lost a few, but the strong ones pushed on.

I don’t currently have any shady spots outside. Would it be OK to dim the lights down a bit and keep them very wet while unbagged?

It might temporarily, but you need a spot with good airflow as well to act as a mold preventative. You could try a light sprinkling of cinnamon to help hold off the mold too, but I would get them into good lighting as soon as possible.

I've deflasked a few of Craigs TC vfts and have had good success using these small trays that come with humidity domes (Amazon) under 160-watt leds. I start out with the vent closed for a couple of weeks and cover with a piece of paper for a "sun block" then slowly start opening the vent for another two or three weeks then remove dome, I spray down the plants and the inside of the domes every day with ro water during the process and also apply a little Azoxystrobin every two weeks or so, no real schedule - haven't lost a plant so far.
