Intheswamp has withdrawn from the contest. He was rambling about too many plants or some such nonsense as that. Anyway, that means that second place goes to DanV and third place goes to BlueFire. The run-off for the other two prizes is still going on.

The better to decimate fungus gnats with. Hate how they land on my bright screen since I leave the shades closed all day.

Well, they say "better late than never" so, I'm sharing a photo of my second-place prize that was provided by Panman. As a newbie to pitcher plants of any kind I wasn't sure exactly what to expect but, I'm very happy with the Sarracenia purpurea OP which arrived in beautiful condition in January and as you can see in the photo - its new growth is looking great. I know that I need to trim a few more of the old pitchers. Soil is 50/50 peat/perlite.
