Do Cupped fly traps use the same conditions as regular ones need to grow? In fact, do every VFT use the same growing conditions?

Pretty much. There are weaker varieties such as cudo that would probably require higher minimums for light.

I keep a good mix of VFT's ( see my grow list ) including Cudo and I keep them all the same. Same water levels, same light levels all in the same greenhouse.

It's just that some VFT's grow slower than others, cupped trap being one of them.

What I'm saying is that if you started to give your collection of VFTs less light, the cudo would be one that could be the one that dies off while the others survive.
