I plan to grow a sundrew.

Do you care the plant the same as caring for a venus fly trap?

Distilled water, rain water , lots of sun . Winter dormancy etc?

almost the same.. Depending where the sundew is from, it may or may not need dormancy.

I'm not sure about raw meat (that sounds a bit sketch to me as well), but I have seen people feeding them fish food pellets. They really don't need to be "fed" though.

Blakes right. They don't really need to eat. Their main source of energy is from light.

The animals they trap and "eat" act as fertilizer. Light is a plant's source of energy. I've heard of great success with fish food. I haven't tried this get myself. Might be a neat experiment. I have a carpet of D. capensis seedlings. I can see how half of them react to getting fed.

I've tried this and the difference isn't as noticable as live insects. When I grew capes in a terrarium I used fish food and the growth difference is slight at best.

Although I've found that betta pellets work great for my small and medium sized Neps. Perhaps the pellets were a bit too hard for the sundews to digest.

And don't feed to much or the trap will go *Erk!* and *Dies* and *Thump*
