Just wondering why some of the new budding traps have black burnt looking ends on them? As shown in the trap on the left. The left snake looking trap.

looks stressed from something, I will make a list of wild guesses:

#1 is it a new plant? did it go from no light in a store to bright light with out accumulation.
#2 did it go dry
#3 are you watering it with proper water? no minerals salts soaps metals fertilizers

let us know whole long have you had it, where do you keep it, full sun or lights, water source, where did you get the moss(name brand)

I live in there natural habitat so i just keep them out side and even my tap water is safe so i don't have any experience with issues, but if you give the info i asked for I am sure someone can help.

It is new but i acclimated it to sunlight gradually. Unfortunately it did get dry for one or two full days. Warmer winter days here in so cal so yeah kinda hot. I forgot to notify my wife, but otherwise been nicely bottom soaked for about 2 weeks. Will the trap be ok?

I got it end of January, keep it in full sunlight supplemented by grow light for about 4 hrs until the days get longer I’ll just leave him outside

If the issue is it went dry it should recover. Just a tip, I use 1/1 peat / perlite and let the plants just sit in water. I am not sure you can do that long term with LFSM its like a soaked sponge.

I would also stop moving the plant around, S.Cal i think has much more mild winters then me and i leave mine outside. It take prolonged deep cold to have bad effect, nightly freezes are just fine. I will link a photo record of a plant of mine below, going from the heart of winter to blooming. I feel it helps new growers seeing the natural growth cycle.
