Spring is here (at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere), and that gets me thinking about all of the new growth that is taking place. This month's contest is going to be for plants that you have had a hand in getting started. We want to see your seed grown babies. Any carnivorous plant of any species, any age is acceptable but it must be of a plant that you personally grew from seed.

Here are the standard rules:
1. You can share only pictures you took personally.
2. You can submit only 1 photo for this contest.
3. Pictures shared in previous contests are not eligible.
4. Minimally edited photos only. No effects, or filters. Cropping is okay.
5. The winner will be the entries with the highest number of thumbs up (likes) votes.
6. Only votes from members with at least 5 posts will count.
7. This contest is open internationally, although there will be an alternate prize for international winners.

Our prize this month is from The Flytrap Store is a FTS Towering Giant flytrap .

From the Flytrap Store website:
"FTS Towering Giant" was officially named in July 2014.. This elongated monster flytrap creates spring leaves that can reach over 7 inches in length! Couple this with larger-than-average sized traps, and it's definitely an attention grabber...as well as an insect nabber!!!
We recently had a Towering Giant as a prize for a previous contest, but Matt says that he has a tray of them that is looking spectacular. Personally, I think all Flytrap Store flytraps look spectacular, but I'll take his word for it.

So let's see your seed grown babies. Share your photos and vote for your favorites by clicking the like button by the picture.

NOTE:
The entry is for seed grown (or gemmae) plants, not just seedlings. The plant can be any age, as long as you grew it (them) from seed (gemmae).

Just over a year old, this tray of Sarracenia seedlings looks amazing. The moss is even incredible. Click on the picture to get the full effect.

I made this! Crossed two of my Nepenthes for this complex N. (Mirabilis X globosa) X [globosa ‘klom’ X (globosa X rafflesiana)]. Sown 9/5/22. Photo is one of two 1020 trays full of these. I’ll probably sell some on the forums next year.
