Hello, I'm wondering if anybody can recommend any explant sterilizing methods that don't involve sodium hypochlorite.

I thoroughly rinse my sterilized explants with distilled water and they still start turning brown before I can even get them into their vessels. I've tried using low concentrations and shorter sterilizing times, but I'm still having this issue.

The plants I'm working on seem to be extremely sensitive to the oxidative properties in bleach. I'm working with dahlia pinnata plants. Thank you
