I had my VFT in the frig from mid Nov to mid Mar. I had it out of the frig for a month now & the new traps don't look right. This is the 4th growing season for my VFT. I have tried to avoid splitting the plant. I have attached two pictures.

I’m pretty into how your new traps look, but what are they supposed to look like??

I'm no expert but besides being green they look pretty normal to me.

I'd like to see how normal traps look on that plant. Without that, I can't tell if it is mutated compared to normal.

What's the plant name? It look like a mutant variety to me.

It is a plan VFT that I got from Lowes. They should look like the attachment

Goodness, that's quite a difference! I'm pretty new to VFTs myself, but how much light is it getting right now? The broad leaves are giving me the impression of a plant looking for more light, and I've had a plant make a few strange traps from being light deprived.

Thanks for your input. I will move it to a spot to get more light. I had it in the same spot last summer & it did fine. I will still take your advice. Thanks for the reply.
