Don’t know what but it was, but i’m sure the plants happy now. These are smaller traps so I was quite surprised

Ah, that's a crane fly! Also called mosquito hawks. You've likely seen them in your area, bumbling around and bouncing off of everything. They look like giant mosquitos, but don't bite.

That's a good bit of nutrition if the plant can manage to digest it, but that trap may rot instead; being unable to perfectly seal itself shut means bacteria can get inside while it's digesting. It won't hurt the entire plant, but may kill off the individual trap early.

Those crane flies are a pain. Contrary to popular belief they don't eat mosquitoes, in fact they aren't equipped to eat at all. But their larvae will eat the roots of any plant they can invade. They seem to be especially attracted to my jalapeno and serrano peppers. Last season a couple of plants ended up with no roots left at all. Mosquito Bits helped solve the problem.
