Did you not get any germination out of yours? I've been having a hard time germinating capillaris recently. I'm trying stratification to see if I get better results.

None at all. But I'm not thrilled by the look of the peat media, either. Figured I try again with my new super-chopped sphagnum surface.

You probably already did, but try a little extra heat, ~80°F. That's what worked for me with the capi "Bertioga" when no one else was able to germinate them.
