Not sure if it is an infection. Are you talking about how the hood and other areas turn a copperish/reddish color? Mine does that until it is acclimated to the sun in my backyard. It goes from that color to a deep red when it receives plenty of sun.

Do weird coppery red spots count? They were all over the pitchers

Well, Mine has that in some places.
I grow mine in an Aquabowl I picked up on Amazon. My Cobra Lily sets in a mesh potter surrounded by LFSM. I have the pump hose running in past the root system. Every other day or two I add distilled ice to the bowl. My CL loves this. I will soon be putting it back outside but this year I will bring it in for the freeze.
