I'm considering venturing into the wide world of pings. What are a couple of good cultivars or species to start with? I would prefer something relatively easy that doesn't require conditions too much different than VFTs and Drosera (which I'm growing several different species of at the moment). I'm actually not averse to growing from seed - I'm not doing too badly with what I've got growing in a seed tray at the moment.

Also, pointers as to sources would be appreciated. I'd be willing to buy a plant or seeds off of a forum member, if anyone needs to thin things out some.

Since you're doing a terrarium or at least plan to grow indoors, I'd recommend Mexican pings. Most still require a dormancy. They're all relatively easy to grow if you can provide the conditions. Temperate pings on the other hand are considered some of the most difficult CP's to grow.

Here are a few Mexican pings that are referred to as "easy":

Note - "no dormancy" still needs seasons; cooler temps, shorter light period, less water ("dry season" in Mexico)
Pinguicula moranensis (this one is considered the "typical" of Mexican pings - no dormancy required)
P. agnata (no dormancy required)
P. ehlersiae (no dormancy required)
P. macrophylla
P. emarginata
P. 'Aphrodite'
P. primuliflora (Lowe's sells these in their death cubes)

If you're already growing CP's though and can closely match their ideal conditions, you can probably care for just about any Mexican ping. Just do a little research on the specific species.
