For some reason I have barely any "Perlata" seedlings :? , however, I do have lots of sessilifolia seedlings in the exact same soil and condiditions.

Even though they're related, burmannii are more temperamental than sessilifolia. Keep them in bright light and let them do their thing, you'll have bigger burmannii in no time.

I think a petiolaris Drosera that combined the crazy oversized lamina of falconeri, the long internodes of banksii, and the dendritic hairs of ordensis would be cool… :shock:

Here's a fun idea: multiple different species under the genus Dionaea

It's always bugged me that Venus Flytraps belong to a monotypic genus. I wish we had different types of flytraps similar to different types of sundews, or pitcher plants. How cool would that be?

Then again, hypothetical siblings may lessen its iconic position as the one and only Venus Flytrap.

Yeah, I'm... uh... "simple" too...

{[(veitchii "candy dreams "x peltata "yellow phantom") x (Lvb x Vmv)] x (rajah x [{lowii x truncata} x {ephippiata x truncata}])} x {[(Villosa x xTrusmadiensis)x (Edwardsiana x xHarryana)] x [(Macrophylla x xKinabaluensis) x {(villosa x hamata) x diabolica}]}

Edit:
(This isn’t for the joke I’m SERIOUS about this one)

My thoughts too. I'd like to see maybe a smaller plant but with multiple traps per leaf, with strong pheromones to attract mosquitoes. Basically the perfect mosquito devouring machine. It could (and probably should!) be named "Dionaea evenwindii".

I think a fuzzy Nepenthes with an insanely toothy, striped peristome would be awesome. Toss some bical fangs into the mix, a funnel-like shape, and some wavy leaves, and it would be even better. I know, boring. The things everyone wants in a Nepenthes, all in one.

A blood red tantaculata. I love the species and the hybrids it makes. It's pretty basic and boring but I really like it. (actually might not be my absolute favorite but it's all I can think of)
