I'm no expert on the chart but burmannii is an annual plant. Unfortunately it will die in a year or two. But it's very prolific with seed production so I guarantee you should always have some in your collection. But a cross is unlikely

Never say never on a dream plant. Go for it. We learn everything in our success and failures
I tried crossing my d spiralis with spatulata. Epic failure. But really beautiful spatulata

Right. My goal is to try and feed it A TON while it's in flower so I can hopefully keep it alive. I wish I could find some pics of D. burmannii hybrids.

Yeah, I've heard the ICPS only did two crosses (maybe more that they just didn't list on their website)

Oh we are friends from way back. He has been working on my " dream plant" for years. He is a capensis master and genius

Haven't seen him around much. I know he's been working on his instagram, but hasn't posted lately. I requested some seeds from his free sundew seed bank a few months back.

My dream plant would be one that is sentient and will gently ensnare the neighborhood children that stray onto my lawn. It will then return the crotch goblins to their birth givers and admonish them to be better parents.
For the neighborhood pets that wander into my yard, sustenance for the plant.

Here's one dubbed Perlata. Our friend Aquis31 crossed a Red x Hong Kong a couple of years ago. Most of the seeds are growing up all sorts of variations of the parent plants, but a few get this dusty reddish orange color.
We have a few packs of Perlata seeds in the seed bank.

Oh, cool! Thanks Chef! I not gonna use my request on that yet because I want to see if I can get my burmannii to flower again so that I may be able to get a packet of D. californica.

My dream plant(s) already exists! Tuberous dews! But if it were possible, I would mix a ceph and a climbing tuberous dew.
